Autumn/Winter 2012 line-up rounds off successful year for Content

Content has attracted some of the underground’s biggest names such as Derrick Carter, Kerri Chandler and DJ Rolando to its 200 capacity parties over the past 8 months. The club night, which also launched record label ‘Music With Content’ in May, is continuing in the same vein for the rest of 2012.

Detroit’s DJ Bone is the headliner on 28th of September. I’ve been slow on the uptake with this guy but after listening to this mix, I completely understand why he’ll be perfect for Content’s techno and house vibes.

Next up, New-York based François K will be making a rare Manchester appearance for a 3 hour set on 26th October.

Kervorkian is renowned as one of the original house pioneers, producing music in the same building as Studio 54 in the 1970s and co-creating the revered Body and Soul party in NYC with Joe Clausell and Danny Krivit.  He continues to innovate and educate years later with his dub-heavy night ‘Deep Space’ at New York’s Cielo, playing dark reggae, techno, drum’n’bass, dubstep, deep house and disco.

Early bird tickets have already sold out for this so it’s worth picking one the remainders before they all disappear.

The penultimate event of 2012 is one for the heads. Sublevel co-owner Doc Martin will be bringing his rare vinyl, deep and acid house sounds to the Joshua Brooks basement for a 4-hour set. In-demand around the world, he’ll be making his way to Manchester on 30th September.

With those words of wisdom ringing in your ears, prepare yourself for joyful vibes with a surprise guest at the New Years’ Eve party. More details coming to Gone Out soon.

Every last Friday of the month, 10pm to 4am, Joshua Brooks basement, 106 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6NG. Ticket info for all of the parties, here.
